We are a mobile society. We travel farther in an hour

Much of the bulky parts of this system can be discarded when you are developing portable solar power. The amount of electricity required for our ‘roughing it’ outings is significantly less, as we are not bringing energy hungry appliances with us. The need for electricity is minimal, consisting most often of a cell phone charge and maybe a laptop charge, with a little extra to light the dark nights and keep flashlights working.
